About

Jess Connor is a multimedia artist in Scotland.

My work investigates the inherent holism of life. I use reflection upon immersive outdoor experiences alongside research into anthropology, biology and philosophy to explore interactions between conceptualisation and embodiment. Through art making, I seek to express my reciprocity with life; questioning conventions of human exceptionalism.

Speculation and reaction play a significant role in my practice whereby I work intuitively to realise ideas. Reactionary artworks emerge in response to my surroundings with the intent of discovering a deeper understanding of my human position in the more-than-human world as I seek connectivity with its forms.
